REALTOR® | Denver Luxury Real Estate | Urban Companies

I make my living by helping people meet their housing needs.

A Note From Benjamin

I often tell people that I make my living by helping people meet their housing needs.

It’s a simple way of explaining what I do, but it captures the heart of how I approach real estate.

Homes are deeply personal. They’re where people gather, rest after long days, and build the rhythms of their lives. When someone buys or sells a home, they’re rarely just making a financial decision — they’re making a life decision.

My role is to guide people thoughtfully through that process.

I work primarily in Denver’s established and luxury neighborhoods, helping clients navigate decisions around homes in places like Washington Park, Cherry Hills Village, Bonnie Brae, Park Hill, Capitol Hill, Cheesman Park, Sloan’s Lake, Highland, University Park, and Cory-Merrill.

Every neighborhood has its own character, architecture, and housing dynamics. Understanding those nuances helps people make confident decisions.

My Philosophy

There’s no shortage of information about real estate today. What people often need isn’t more information — it’s someone they trust to help them think clearly about their options.

When I work with clients, my goal is simple:

• help them understand their choices clearly
• guide them toward wise long-term decisions
• advocate well when it comes time to negotiate
• make the process calm and thoughtful

Sometimes that means moving quickly in a competitive market. Other times it means slowing down and saying, “This might not be the right move right now.”

Real estate decisions often involve significant financial and personal considerations, and I believe those moments deserve thoughtful guidance and discretion.

Either way, my job is to help people move forward with clarity and confidence.

The Urban Companies Story

Real estate has been part of my life for a long time.

My grandfather, Jim Urban Sr., founded Urban Companies in Denver in 1986 with a simple vision: to represent families as a whole and build relationships that could last for generations.

He believed that when trust was built well, you didn’t just represent one person in a transaction — you often ended up serving parents, children, and friends over time.

One phrase he said often was “Go see the people.” He believed relationships mattered most when they were personal and consistent, not just transactional.

That spirit continues to shape how I approach my work today. Our team brings decades of experience in the Denver market, particularly in many of the neighborhoods that define the character of the city.

For me, the most meaningful part of this work is not simply helping someone close on a home — it’s building relationships with the people and families I serve over time.

Who I Typically Work With

Most of the people I work with are:

• homeowners moving within Denver’s established neighborhoods
• buyers relocating to Denver and looking for guidance in the luxury market
• families looking for long-term homes in neighborhoods with character and history
• homeowners preparing to sell homes in the $900K–$3M+ range
business owners who appreciate thoughtful strategy around housing decisions
• people who are buying and selling at the same time, and want guidance coordinating both sides of the move

Whether someone is purchasing their first home in the city or transitioning to a long-term home in one of Denver’s historic neighborhoods, my goal is to guide them wisely through the process.

Neighborhoods I Work In Most Often

I primarily work in many of Denver’s established and luxury neighborhoods, including:

Washington Park
Cherry Hills Village
Bonnie Brae
Park Hill
Capitol Hill
Cheesman Park
Sloan’s Lake
Highland
University Park
Cory-Merrill

Each neighborhood has its own personality, architecture, and lifestyle. Helping clients understand those differences is one of the most enjoyable parts of my work.

Denver Real Estate Guide

Denver is a city made up of distinct neighborhoods, each with its own rhythm and character.

Whether someone is drawn to the historic homes near Washington Park, the quiet elegance of Cherry Hills Village, the charm of Bonnie Brae, or the walkable lifestyle around Highland or Sloan’s Lake, choosing the right neighborhood often matters just as much as choosing the right house.

Part of my role is helping people understand:

• how different neighborhoods fit different lifestyles
• long-term value trends across Denver
• how architecture, location, and lot size affect value
• the nuances of Denver’s competitive housing market

Good real estate decisions rarely happen by accident. They come from understanding the market, the neighborhoods, and the long-term goals of the people involved.

Life Outside of Real Estate

Outside of real estate, my faith plays a central role in how I approach life and work. I believe work is meant to serve others, and I try to carry that perspective into the relationships and decisions that make up my business.

I serve in several leadership and community roles, including:

Leadership Academy – South Metro Denver Realtor Association (SMDRA)
Board Member – Builders + Believers Network (a community of Christian business leaders)
Leader and Coach – The Brook, a nonprofit focused on personal and spiritual growth
Financial Board Member – Living Water Church

I also enjoy creating spaces where people can connect. One project I’m especially excited about is Urban Coffee House, a small gathering space at our home where conversations about coffee, faith, life, and sometimes real estate naturally happen.

Community matters deeply to me, and I enjoy building relationships that extend far beyond a real estate transaction.

Let’s Connect

Whether you’re buying, selling, or simply starting to think about your next move, I’m always happy to have a conversation.

I make my living by helping people meet their housing needs well — and it’s work I genuinely enjoy.

I work with buyers and sellers throughout Denver, particularly in neighborhoods such as Washington Park, Cherry Hills Village, Bonnie Brae, Park Hill, Capitol Hill, Cheesman Park, Sloan’s Lake, Highland, University Park, and Cory-Merrill.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
